MoI: Departure of 9,453 Residency Visa violators Since the Start of the Grace Period

The Ministry of Interior announced that the number of violators of the Law of Entry and Residence who voluntarily applied to benefit from the deadline granted by the State, until January 2nd has reached a total of 20.391 violators from 106 countries, throughout the state. 9,543 violators have already departed from the country since the beginning of the grace period on December 4, according to Brigadier Dr. Abdullah Ali bin Sahoo, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah, Chairman of the Media Committee.
Brigadier bin Sahoo indicated that individuals who have already left the country, took advantage of the deadline, which ends in the first week of February; calling on all violators to voluntarily come forward to the nearest center allocated by the MoI, to benefit from the grace period granted by the government.
The Chairman of the Media Committee invited citizens and residents to cooperate with the Committee to encourage offenders to take advantage of this opportunity and leave the country without paying the accumulated penalties imposed on them, for violating the Law of Entry and Residence of Foreigners.
He also underscored the importance of the various media outlets, TV, print and radio in the state and in multiple languages, to acquaint the public with the deadline, which represents one of the community-based initiatives. He also lauded the role of the media, through the active cooperation in the service of society.
Chairman of the Media Committee called on violators to come forward to one of the allocated reception centers as soon as possible, or to call the free number 8005111 to inquire about procedures and required documents.
The ten centers allocated by MoI are:
Abu Dhabi: Emirates Identity Authoity (EIDA), registration office in Mussafah area
Al Ain: The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Al Ain
Western Region: The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the Western Region, Dubai: the violators and foreigners follow-up section in Al Aweer, Sharjah: the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs
Khor Fakkan: The Office of Naturalization and Residency, Ajman: The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Umm Al Quwain: The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Ras Al Khaimah: the Ras Al Khaimah Directorate General of Residency and Foreigner Affairs in Al Jazira Al Hamra
Al Fujairah: The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
The Ministry of Interior stressed its continuous keenness to deal with violators who are applying to benefit from the grace period humanely; facilitate their voluntary departure from the country; and provide them with all facilities to benefit from the grace period, at all the centers established particularly for this purpose at the UAE level.
