Major General Al Hudaidi chairs Higher Leadership Meeting

Major General Humaid Mohammed Al Hudaidi, General Commander of Sharjah Police has presided over Higher Leadership Meeting at the venue of Sharjah Police Headquarter. Meeting was attended by Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak Al Dukhan, Deputy General Commander of Sharjah Police, Brigadier Dr. Abdullah Saeed Sahoo, Director General of Residency and Foreigners' Affairs Dept, Colonel Abdullah Al Suaidi, Director General of Civil Defense Dept and directors of various depts.

Meeting discussed issues tabled in its agenda, starting with key outcomes of decisions which have been taken in previous meetings during this year, as well as the existing cooperation and coordination between various depts.

Meeting also discussed a host of reports on the current security conditions and scheduled plans to handle different problems.

Meeting also turned light on Sharjah, A safe City Project, which was launched as per directives of General Commander of Sharjah Police.

This project is intended to boost security surveillance in Sharjah Emirate and maintain security in it, by means of employing more state – of – the – art surveillance cameras.

Cameras to be used are of two types: fixed and mobile. Additionally, more advanced communication means such as Protocol (IP Connect), microwave and 3G LTE will be used.

As per this project, Operation Room will be advanced and equipped with cutting edge data centers, and moreover, a new traffic records dept will be introduced to monitor these cameras around the clock. Notably, these cameras will be used for a number of purposes: Identifying cars' number plates and traffic control; there will be cameras fitted to Police vehicles.

Lt Colonel Khalid Ahmed Bu Hindi, Director of Electronic Services and Communications Dept said that the project would realize Sharjah Police's objectives in maintaining security within society.

Meeting concluded with reviewing dissemination of security culture plan at all depts.
