Health Day for " Patients Friends" Committee About Hepatitis

General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah yesterday morning organized a health campaign at "Wathaeq" center, located in the management in cooperation with the “Patients Friends” Committee in the emirate and "MSD Medical Company", and  Star Metro Police laboratory, included a free health survey for early detection of hepatitis "C "for about 250 of the management staff of customers, were also provided awareness materials and manuals and education books about the disease in both Arabic and English.

Brigadier General Dr Abdullah Ali Saeed bin Sahoo Director General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah expressed his pleasure with this initiative, which is reflected in the implementation of social responsibility with the “Patients Friends” Committee in Sharjah, as a framework with management partners, and he pointed out that the event is part of the administration's continued efforts to educate the staff and the public on the risks of the disease.

He added that this initiative by the Commission, is deserves contemplation and attention, and a lot praise, this campaign is a great contribution to promote awareness of the seriousness of this disease, and focus on how to prevent it, and highlight the importance of early detection, and the definition of how to deal with it. For his part, Mohammed Abdullah Al Jowder Executive Director of “Patients Friends” Committee in Sharjah pointed out that today is part of the Committee's efforts to serve the community, and that the initiative came as an important step not only to combat the disease, but also to raise awareness about its dangers among the staff and customers of the administration.

For her part, Waffa Subih, Coordinator of Hepatitis "C" patients in "MSD" Medical Company, indicated that viral hepatitis is one of the contemporary serious diseases, which require care, and making all necessary efforts to prevent them first, and treatment secondly .
