Campaign on “Garbage Beggars” and “Carton Box Collectors” in Sharjah

General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah in its various departments and units, launched an extensive campaign to eliminate the law of entry and residency violators, from garbage beggars and carton box collectors, in collaboration with the department of offenders follow-up, from the beginning of this year and will continue for one year. The campaign aims to promote the security sense among workers, and the development of leadership and volunteer spirit, and raise the level of a sense of security and safety of residents in the Emirate of Sharjah as a requirement of the Ministry of the Interior, also aims to encourage leaders in the first supervisory level to devise different solutions to eliminate this negative phenomenon. Campaigns carried out by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah, in collaboration with the Department of follow-up of offenders and foreigners, which resulted in the arrest of 59 offenders of Carton Box Collectors and Garbage Beggars since the beginning of the campaign until today, was 19 of them arrested in January, and 33 in February, and 7 during this month.

Campaign include the elimination of offenders of garbage beggars and carton box collectors, also include a number of steps and responsibilities that have been distributed to a number of volunteer officers, who were formed a team of them to work for the campaign, to support the functions of offenders and foreigners follow-up section in Sharjah.

Brigadier General Dr. Abdullah Ali Saeed Bin Sahoo Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah and the owner of the initiative launched the campaign, said: "The phenomenon of violators of the law of entry and residency by the foreigners, especially garbage beggars and carton box collectors harm to the appearance of civilization upscale of the state and society, He emphasized that doing so, represent a security and economic risk, Require a concerted efforts by all citizens, residents and public and private institutions, and the media to contribute to the elimination of this negative phenomenon.

Abdullah bin Sahoo, called on business owners that use cardboard boxes for reporting people who are distorting the civilized face of the State by exercise such uncivilized acts, and urged the concerned institutions, including "Environment" to allocate a places for the collection of carton boxes in it.
