“Interior”: Updating the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector Strategic Plan 2014 - 2016

The Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior organized workshop, in Al Raha Beach Hotel, Abu Dhabi, to discuss updating the Ministry's strategic plan 2014-2016 for the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Department.

The workshop complements previous workshops to update the strategic plan for the Ministry of Interior’s police sector; to identify operational initiatives and performance indicators for strategic objectives; and to classify major services and their indicators for the police sector.

The workshop was attended by the Directors-General of the Residency and Foreigners Affairs in the state; department directors; work teams and chiefs of sections departments in strategic sector Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs; Colonel Aziz Hamoud Al Amri, Director of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry; chiefs of sections, and strategy officers.

Colonel Aziz Al Ameri gave a presentation on the Ministry’s strategic plan update methodology; which is in line with the Federal Government's strategies, and serves the process of development and updating measures launched by the Ministry in 2010; the updated strategy will serve as the 2014-2016 plan.

Furthermore, he reviewed examples of the strategic goals and topics that the workshop participants will define and identify for the police sector, as well as what has been achieved during the previous workshops.

Moreover, Major Nihal Abdul Rahman, Head of Institutional Performance Measuring Department, gave a detailed presentation on the strategic indicators and objectives of the ministry of Interiors’ police sector.

In parallel, Captain Jamal Salem Al Khatiri, Head of Planning and Strategic Development, showcased the initiatives and operational indicators.
