UAE Chairs Arab Conference for the Chief of the Passports and Nationality in Tunisia

 Yesterday, Tunis began the Fifteenth Arab Conference of Heads of immigration, passports and citizenship, which will be held in the framework of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Interior headed by Brigadier General Dr. Abdullah Ali Saeed Bin Sahoo, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah.

In the opening of the conference, he stressed the importance of reaching mechanisms, systems and solutions that guarantee the achievement of high levels of security in Arab countries. He also stressed the need to exploit international solutions and applications in the Arab researches, thus contributing to the advancement of Arab security services.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Kuman, Secretary General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, stressed the importance of the exchange of experience between the Arab countries in the areas of security. The UAE participant delegation includes both Col. Khalifa Matar Mubarak and Major Ali Abdullah Alridimi.

Participants in this two-day conference, seeking a wide range of issues relating to illegal immigration, and its relationship to human trafficking crimes, and the phenomenon of multiple citizenship and ways to address them, and the impact of the use of modern technology in reducing the phenomenon of forging passports. The conference will be an opportunity for delegates to see the experiences of Member States in the field of visa and residence permits.
 Conferees are also seeking the development project of a unified Arab visa for business owners and Arab investors.
